Japan’s new Himawari-8 weather satellite is sending back photos of weather on Earth every 10 minutes and they are beautiful.

Himawari-8 was launched in October 2014 and just entered service on July 7th of this year. NOAA and NASA are preparing to launch their own advanced weather satellite which will enter service next year.
